Mejocama Community School

Construction of School Classrooms

We are supporting the Medardo Joseph Mazombwe Community School in the construction of a four-classroom building, which is essential for ensuring a quality education for hundreds of students.

Required budget: approximately €20,000

Kaparu Women's Cooperative

Women's Empowerment

We support the women of Kaparu Mission by installing a solar-powered irrigation system to ensure food security and economic independence.

Cardinal Adam Memorial Hospital

Health Care and Assistance for the Most Vulnerable

Cardinal Adam Memorial Hospital in Lusaka, a Catholic institution that provides quality healthcare to the people of Bauleni and the surrounding areas. The project aims to establish a Critical Care Unit to ensure access to life-saving treatments and support local healthcare staff.

Impact of the project:

  • 109,000 people served in the service area
  • Strengthening Intensive Care and Emergency Care
  • Reduction in funding for private facilities
  • Improved Access for Vulnerable and Elderly Religious Patients
  • Development of Local Medical Expertise

St. Thomas Mission Hospital

Establishment of a Dental Unit

St. Thomas Mission Hospital, a 60-bed Catholic facility located in Chibombo, Zambia, has been serving a large rural population since 2022. Currently lacking dental services, the hospital is proposing the creation of a Dental Unit to provide accessible care on-site and spare patients serious inconvenience and costly transfers to other facilities.

Impact of the project:

  • Coverage of an immediate service area of 16,045 people
  • Provision of dental services to approximately 5,000 patients per year
  • Establishment of the only dental clinic in a district that currently lacks public dental services.
  • Improving health in schools through targeted education and prevention campaigns.

Required budget: approximately €11,000

The Medardo Joseph Mazombwe Secondary School (MEJOCAMA) is a community school run by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd, a diocesan congregation founded in 1976 by the late Cardinal Medardo Mazombwe in the Catholic Diocese of Chipata.

The Congregation and the School Principal ensure that "adoptive parents" are provided with all information and updates regarding:

The school is located in one of the poorest outlying areas of the capital, Lusaka, which has a population of about 40,000.
